The Pacific Rim Advisory Council (PRAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Owen Chan, Regional Managing Partner – Asia Pacific at Hogan Lovells, as Chair, and Joe Chan, Practice Group Leader of Richards Buell Sutton LLP’s Asia Pacific Group, as Vice Chair, effective 1 January 2026.

Owen has been an active member of PRAC since 2014, previously serving as Vice Chair before being elected Chair-Elect at PRAC’s biannual conference in Tokyo in October 2025. Joe has also played a pivotal role in PRAC’s development, notably as Chair of the Policy and Planning Committee, where he helped shape the PRAC’s long-term strategy.

PRAC extends its sincere appreciation to Sarah Tune, Partner at Davis Wright Tremaine, for her dedicated leadership during her term as Chair. Under Sarah’s guidance, PRAC strengthened collaboration across member firms and advanced key strategic initiatives across the Pacific.

This leadership transition comes at a critical time, as clients face rapid technological change and increasingly complex cross-border trade dynamics. Owen Chan remarked: “I am honored to lead PRAC into its next chapter. Our member firms’ local strength and shared commitment to collaboration position PRAC to deliver immediate, practical value on cross-border matters.” Joe Chan added: “PRAC’s power lies in its trusted relationships and knowledge sharing. I look forward to supporting our members as we continue to elevate client service across the Pacific.” Reflecting on her tenure, Sarah Tune noted: “It has been a privilege to serve as PRAC Chair. I am confident our network will thrive under Owen and Joe’s leadership.”
